Who we are

SnagBoss is a trading name of Rhimic Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 15393321, registered office 4th Floor, 14 Museum Place, Cardiff, Wales, CF10 3BH. Rhimic Limited is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy, which covers our website (www.snagboss.com), web app (app.snagboss.com) and mobile apps.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address, which we use to sign you in with a magic link or one-time code. We don't store passwords.
• Property & snag data: the property addresses, rooms, snag descriptions, photos and reports you add. Addresses are verified through an address-lookup service when you set up a property.
• Payment data: payments are handled by Stripe as merchant of record. We receive confirmation of what you've purchased and your billing status, but we never see or store your card details.
• Technical & usage data: security and audit logs (such as sign-in events and IP-based rate limiting), and privacy-friendly, cookieless, aggregate analytics about how the service is used.
• Support correspondence: emails you send us and our replies.

Why we use it

• To provide the service (performance of our contract with you): running your account, storing and displaying your properties, snags and photos, generating reports and PDFs, operating share links you create, and taking payment.
• To keep the service secure and improve it (our legitimate interests): preventing abuse and fraud, monitoring for errors, and understanding aggregate usage.
• To send you product updates — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Emails we must send to run the service (sign-in links, receipts, important account notices) aren't marketing and don't need consent.
• To meet legal obligations, such as keeping billing records for tax and accounting purposes.

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run SnagBoss, each bound by a data-processing agreement:

• Cloudflare — hosting, data storage (including your photos and reports) and email delivery.
• Stripe — payments, acting as merchant of record. Stripe processes your payment details as a controller in its own right under its own privacy policy.
• Ideal Postcodes — address lookup and verification when you add a property.

Content you choose to share is also visible to your recipients: anyone with one of your share links can view the report behind it. We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or as part of a business transfer (in which case this policy would continue to apply to your data).

Where your data lives

We aim to store your data in the UK/EU where our providers allow. Where a provider processes data outside the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a property, snag or your whole account, the associated data — including photos and generated PDFs — is permanently purged from our systems after a short grace period (there to protect you against accidental deletion). We keep billing records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and minimal security logs for a short period.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR (and EU GDPR where it applies) you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent (for example to marketing) at any time. You can export your data and delete your account — including all associated properties, snags, photos and reports — from your account settings, or by emailing snagboss@rhimic.com. We respond to requests within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk (or your local supervisory authority in the EU) — though we'd appreciate the chance to help first.

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in, and no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. See our cookie policy for details.

Children

SnagBoss is for adults dealing with property purchases and inspections; it isn't directed at children and we don't knowingly collect children's data.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy as the service or the law changes and will note the date at the top of the page. For significant changes we'll tell you by email or in the app.
